Child airlifted to hospital
An accident that happened in Maple Ridge involved a child falling
An Air Ambulance landed at Harry Hooge Elementary in Maple Ridge on Thursday night to transport a child who was injured in a fall.

A Maple Ridge child was airlifted to BC Children's Hospital Thursday night. The injuries are unknown at this time, but were thought to be non-life threatening.
Both a ground and air ambulance responded to a home at the 23100 block of 124A Avenue at around 5 p.m.
The air ambulance helicopter landed at Harry Hooge Elementary on 230th Street to transport the child to hospital.
"Unfortunately, the dispatch does not have any idea as to the criticality [of the injury]," said BC Ambulance Service spokeswoman Catherine Bianco.
Harry Hartwig lives down the street from the home where the accident happened and told a reporter that "a child fell down the stairs and they took him away in an ambulance."
Other reports indicate that the child fell from a window.
