Calling all rain lovers

Ducks love the rain – even when it’s pouring – and the Rotary Duck is no exception! The Rotary Duck Race mascot was at Save-On-Foods today selling ducks with Marauders’ moms Lisa Wild and Anna Roberts. On Sunday, Aug. 5, 10,000 feisty rubber ducks will be launched into the Alouette River at Maple Ridge Park to vie for the finish line. In addition to other prizes, the grand prize will be a brand new Jeep Wrangler. All the money raised will go to youth sports within the community. Also, Pitt Meadows Secondary Marauders is offering summer basketball camps for kids in grades 2 through 8. Camp runs July 2 to 6. For more information contact Rich Goulet at 604-465-7141 or email rgoulet@sd42.ca.
