Twenty thousand dollars was donated to the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council by Westminster Savings to allow people to attend performances at The ACT.

The grant will allow more than 735 students from local elementary and secondary schools and community organizations attend arts performances. Funding will also go toward subsidized access to the arts for local families.

"This important contribution widens accessibility to arts programs and live performance," said Lindy Sisson, arts council executive director.
