Alouette Elementary student Emily Pretzer was at Haney Place Mall on Saturday registering for the upcoming season for the Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association. Her dad Jason signed her up for the U12 squirts with volunteer Lisa Weber and registrar Kate Doucette (top, right). This is the second year that 10-year-old Emily will play. According to Doucette, about 100 kids signed up on Saturday. The registration booth will also be at the mall on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The season starts in April.
