Dear Editor,

It has been quite a ride for Team Canada and we know there have been many articles in the media.

However, my husband Vans and I would like to let you know how grateful we are for the time and care you have demonstrated during the last 15 years, in following Karina through her athletic careers, first in basketball and then in soccer.

Because of you, we have a great scrapbook which reflects her through injuries, defeats, and multiple successes.

Karina has realized her most ambitious goal in winning a medal at the Olympics with Team Canada.

We share her pride and her joy. So on her behalf, we wanted to ensure that you know how aware we are, that you are a big part of the community that propelled her - and would like to thank you sincerely!
