Kimberley Armstrong and her 14 month old son have been safely located in Mission after being reported missing.

At approximately 7:30am on August 4th, Ms. Armstrong was dropped off alone in New Westminster.

After not returning home to her residence in Maple Ridge, a friend became concerned and filed a missing person’s report.

After being reported missing, Armstrong returned to her residence in Maple Ridge, but left shortly after with her 14 month old son before police could determine her welfare.

The NWPD Major Crime Unit worked in collaboration with the Mission RCMP and Maple Ridge RCMP, and in the late evening hours of Aug. 10th,  Armstrong and her son were safely located in Mission.

“This was a perfect example of the excellent collaboration that exists between municipal police departments and the public. Furthermore, we’d like to thank local news media for their assistance in the search,” stated Media Relations Officer Acting Sergeant Jeff Scott.

“We’re thankful for this positive outcome, and that Ms. Armstrong and her son have been found.”
