The City of Pitt Meadows recently announced that it has purchased a new software system with Intelligenz Systems to manage Pitt Meadows parks and recreation programs after the joint Parks and Leisure Services agreement with Maple Ridge ends on October 31.

To mark this milestone, the city is inviting residents to help give the new registration system a name.

“Pitt Meadows citizens have been used to visiting recreg4u.ca to register for joint Parks & Leisure Services programs for the last several years, but after October 31, the new site will be the place to go to register for Pitt Meadows programs,” said recreation manager Diane Chamberlain.

“We would love to see local people who will be using the site have some input into what the new system should be called.”

Residents are encouraged to submit creative ideas for a name for this new system via email to news@pittmeadows.bc.ca.

Successful submissions will be easy to remember and will be appropriate for use as a web URL. The deadline to submit entries is August 31, 2016, and the winning entry will be announced on September 10.

The winning submission will win a Pitt Prize Pack and a free personal training session at the Pitt Meadows Fitness Centre.

The contest is open to Pitt Meadows residents only.

More information can be found on the City’s website at www.pittmeadows.bc.ca/nameourregsystem.
