A woman was airlifted to hospital, while a man was transported by ambulance following a two-vehicle crash in Whonnock last week.
Both drivers are apparently recovering well as of Wednesday morning, but emergency crews were concerned originally, and erred on the side of caution airvacing her to hospital with neck, leg, and back pain, RCMP reported.
The crash occurred at about 3:15 p.m. on Oct. 11, between a pickup truck and car at 272nd Street, near 96th Avenue.
Because of the need to bring in an ambulance, emergency officials had to shut down Lougheed Highway for about half an hour – right in the midst of rush hour on a Friday heading into the long weekend.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
