Thieves gained entry to the Golden Ears Jewellers at Meadowvale Shopping Centre and made off with some loot.

Sometime between Tuesday, Feb. 5 and morning of Wednesday, Feb. 6, thieves gained entry through two vacant stores, then cut a hole in the wall between an empty store and the jeweller, said Ridge Meadows RCMP Corp. Alanna Dunlop.

"The thieves would've had to take considerable time and effort to break in to the adjoining businesses, and police are hoping someone heard or saw something," Dunlop explained.

The suspects managed to steal approximately $2,000 worth of various gold jewelry items, including pendants and rings, as well as workman's tools from one of the empty stores.

Police have few leads to follow up at this time, and are asking for anyone with information regarding this crime to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251, or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477, to remain anonymous.
