The Vienna Boys Choir will bring five centuries of tradition to The ACT in Maple Ridge this Saturday.

Today there are around 100 choristers between the ages of 10 and 14, divided into four touring choirs. The four choirs give around 300 concerts and performances each year in front of almost half a million people.

In the last two decades, the doors of the choir have welcomed boys from around the world.

The choir maintains that "every person has music in them. We all are part of culture; being a chorister is a way to contribute to our culture."

The choir will be at The ACT on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $37 for seniors, and $15 for students and are on sale at The ACT Ticket Centre, by calling 604476-2787, or by going to www.theactmapleridge. org.
