Athletes in Kind Generation Run and Walk will again take place on New Year's Day.

There are three routes to choose from - two-, five-, and 10-kilometre options.

The routes are marked and measured on the trail along the dike beside the Fraser River.

"After the run stop at Stomping Grounds Cafe and Bistro for lunch and a hot drink," said organizer Lorie Muller.

All donations go to support families battling cancer.

The run starts at 10 a.m. at Osprey Village in Pitt Meadows.
