I am deeply offended by Mr. Robson’s remarks regarding St. George’s Maple Ridge [Outreach must create synergy, Feb. 26 Just Saying, TIMES].

Mr. Robson’s misuse of the term “missionaries” conjures a vision of persons outside the community swooping in where they do not belong.

The volunteers are from Maple Ridge – locals.

I grew up going to St. George’s, and as a youth, saw the formation of community suppers. I saw firsthand the wonderful work that the citizens of Maple Ridge and parishioners of St. George’s did for those in our community who are often ignored.

Mr. Robson’s allegation of St. George’s running an illegal soup kitchen is completely wrong.
