Dear Editor,

Although I enjoy The TIMES, I was very disappointed in the cartoon mocking the Pope [Feb. 19 Opinion, TIMES].

I do not practise the Catholic religion, but have great respect for such a great man who devoted his entire life for others. In ill health and well into his 80s, too feeble to carry the heavy load, he realized it was time to pass the responsibilities to someone else. I'm sure most of us will not see the humour in this cartoon
