An online auction has netted $2,000 for Make A Wish Foundation, in honour of a Maple Ridge boy who lost his battle almost a year ago.
Childhood Memories Centre For Children, with a facility at Harry Hooge Elementary, originally donated a six-month child care package (worth $900) to the auction held through a local chapter of Bidding Wars. The intention was that 100 per cent of the proceeds would go to the foundation in honour of Connor's Cancer Warriors.
Bidding began Thursday and closed Sunday. There was such an overwhelming response, that Childhood upped the offer to two one-year packages, each winning bidders paying $1,000 each.
