Mike Sands’ (in the wheelchair) family has rallied around him as he battles ALS. They took part in the recent Walk for ALS 2012 as Team I like Mike. In the meantime, a group of fitness enthusiasts attending classes at the seniors centre showed their support for Sands and ALS. Their T-shirts are a symbol of the love and support Sands and his wife Nadine and their family have received. The local couple are grateful for the support and encouragement of the community. “God has truly blessed us all,” said Sands’ mother-in-law Sheila Klassen.
