Saturday at Port Moody Arena, the local junior Bs skated to a 7-2 win over the host Panthers to improve their record to 2-4-1-1. The Flames led 2-0 after the first period before Travis Oddy's shorthanded goal 8:23 into the middle frame made it 3-0 for the visitors.
Port Moody rallied with a powerplay goal 53 seconds later.
But the Flames responded by outscoring the Panthers 3-1 over the balance of the period to carry a 6-2 lead into the final frame.
