The driver of a minivan is believed at fault in a crash with a fully loaded dump truck Tuesday morning.
The 37-year-old Maple Ridge woman was rushed to hospital after the collision caused her van to flip on its side.
The woman's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police reported.
In the meantime, the family dog was also in the van, and while apparently having the ride of its life, it is reported to be okay, as is the 65-year-old Maple Ridge man driving the truck who escaped injury.
The accident occurred in the intersection of 203rd Street and Dewdney Trunk Road at about 8: 25 a.m. Tuesday.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash, indicating the woman has been ticketed for running a red light.
She was travelling east on Dewdney Trunk Road and the truck was southbound on 203rd Street when they collided.
The overturned van and debris were scattered throughout the intersection, and several lanes of traffic were blocked much of the morning while emergency crews cleaned up.
