The Maple Ridge AAA Thunder peewee girls softball team ran their record to 33-1 on the weekend as they won seven straight games on their way to winning a 17-team tournament in South Surrey last weekend.

They started the tournament with a 13-2 victory over Chilliwack and ended it with two straight shut-out victories.

In the semi-final they defeated a Sardis squad 8-0 for the second time in the tournament, and finished off Ladner in the final 13-0.

They out scored their opponents 83-14 over the course of the weekend.

Team members include: Megan Aird, Mackenzie Emerson, Jessica Foulds, Kale’a Gjaltema, Amy Hill, Carmen Partridge, Emily Nobiss, Jamie Robinson, Cydney Turner, Chelsey Turner, and Codie Wright.
