Self-investigation ludicrous

Dear Editor,

Superintendent Janice Armstrong was on the evening news the other night, commenting (bemoaning?) that the RCMP have no names of the alleged RCMP personnel's wrongdoing against First Nations people.

If true that the police have done wrong things, it can be no surprise that names will not be forthcoming from people who are afraid of reprisals.

It is absolutely ludicrous that the police will investigate themselves!

Until witnesses are given anonymity, crimes will continue to be committed, because people fear for their lives. Is that just too difficult to understand?
