Local musicians are lined up to entertain audiences during the month of August.

The Lunchtime Concert Series, put on by the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association, is well underway with concerts scheduled Tuesday to Thursday in August at Memorial Peace Park.

The BIA is encouraging the public to bring their lunch to the park and enjoy a free hour of music by up-and-coming local musicians.

The concerts take place from noon to 1 p.m. on the south side of Memorial Peace Park on the new brick ground. This event draws hundreds of spectators each year to downtown Maple Ridge

This year’s line up includes performances by Wendy Biscuit Solo, The Green Room, Paul Garay, Nigel Tucker, LA and the SDAs, and more. Musical genres vary from country-pop to gospel.

A full schedule of performances is available at downtownmapleridge.ca.
