The Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows TIMES is once again asking its readers to choose their favourite businesses in more than 100 categories - from the best place to get your nails done, to where to find the best musical instruments, to the best coffee shop and brake shop.
For the 13th year running, The Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows TIMES will give out awards to businesses that its readers feel have served them well.
"We want to highlight our local businesses that are notable to our readers," said TIMES sales manager Livia Mior.
Many of The TIMES's clients call to ask when Readers' Choice will be in the paper, and it has become a friendly competition among local businesses, Mior said.
"They look forward to it every year," she said, and the businesses are always "extremely appreciative" of the recognition and proud of winning in their categories.
Businesses that win often display their Readers' Choice certificates in their businesses for their customers to see.
This year, The TIMES also wants to recognize businesses that have won multiple years.
The ballots for The TIMES Readers' Choice awards will run in the print edition and online at www. mrtimes.com from Nov. 6 to Dec. 13.
The deadline for submitting Readers' Choice nominations is Dec. 17.
Winners in the more than 100 Readers' Choice categories will receive framed certificates and will be invited to an evening recognition event in February.
