Fitwell's for Women has the Buns of Steel queen coming for their grand opening this Saturday.
Tammilee Webb of fitness video fame will be on hand to help Fitwell's host the grand opening of their local club.
Webb, who has sold 10 million copies of her Abs, Buns, and Thighs of Steel series, will be in Maple Ridge on Saturday, at 11 a.m. Any woman, member or non-member, can show up for free to see Webb, who is promoting her e84 challenge, said Maple Ridge's membership coordinator Chrystal Thomasson.
Fitwell's owner Mike Hamill said, "We are obviously thrilled to have Tammilee join us for our launch." "She has inspired so many people over the years and continues to 'raise the bar' in a very competitive field."
Webb is slated to give a seminar on health and fitness, and to instruct a fitness class.
And just in time to keep all those New Year's resolutions, Fitwell's is offering anyone who signs up for Webb's e84 challenge a free 84-day membership to Fitwell's.
The e84 fitness chal-ebb lenge is designed to help people get in shape and stay on track for the long term.
FITS OF LAUGHTER AT M&M
Being that I'm not that big into fitness, I will probably head over to a different type of event.
On Feb. 3, M&M Meat Shops is celebrating its 21st annual Red Nose Day.
For more than two decades, M&M Meat Shops Red Nose Day has helped put a smile on people's faces during one of the toughest winter months.
This year, more than 400 M&M Meat Shops' employees, including the Maple Ridge location, will wear red noses to entertain their customers.
Since the company introduced Red Nose Day in 1992, M&M Meat Shops staff have worn more than 60,000 red noses and tickled the funny bones of millions of customers.
"Canadian winters can be cold and dreary and we want to give Canadians something to smile about," said Mac Voisin, founder of M&M Meat Shops.
"Laughter really is the best medicine and we encourage everyone to join us for our annual Red Nose Day; it will be good for you."
M&M Meat Shop in Maple Ridge is located at 20691 Lougheed Highway in Westridge Centre.
