Ridge Meadows RCMP’s serious crimes unit arrested 24-year-old Russell Thomas Lamb on multiple charges related to sexual offences against a young person. Police allege Lamb’s offences involve a teenaged girl in Maple Ridge. He was arrested and taken before the courts on Friday.

“What is particularly alarming in the case is the fact Mr. Lamb is currently on a probation order from Squamish, B.C. after being convicted of a sex offence against a 15-year-old female victim in that community,” said Ridge Meadows RCMP Insp. David Fleugel. “Our investigation involves a teenaged female Lamb met, and befriended, while in our community. This was not a random stranger attack. Lamb appeared in provincial court on Friday, and has been remanded until Monday, when he will make his next appearance via video conference.”

Ridge Meadows RCMP are continuing their investigation. Anyone who has any information regarding Russell Lamb is encouraged to contact the serious crimes unit at #604-463-6251.
