Maple Ridge councillors will take a break from their Union of B.C. Municipalities conference to hold a public hearing on allowing more density in north Albion.
Council is considering allowing developers to build more houses than originally planned in exchange for contributions to amenities.
The proposal will be the subject of a public hearing tonight (Sept. 17) in council chambers
at 7 p.m. Councillor Michael Morden pointed out that "with appropriate density, we save long term on infrastructure maintenance saving future taxpayer costs."
He added that there might be a better chance of getting transit in the area.
