Sherryl and Terry Hansen of Maple Ridge recently returned from a four-week trip through Greece and Turkey, from Athens to Istanbul. They had this photo taken of them holding a copy of their hometown newspaper, The TIMES, in a “beautiful“ town called Oia on the Greek Island of Santorini, famous for its whitewashed and blue domed churches.

Maple Ridge’s Berard family, Miranda Berard, 13, and sisters Danica, nine, and Alexa, 16, along with Mom (Donna-Lee) and Dad (Chuck) took a 3,196-kilometre, 10-day road trip. Highlights included horseback riding in Banff, examining dinosaurs in Drumheller, touring the Hoodoos, Calgary Zoo, Fort Steele, Osoyoos, and Molson’s ghost town, and seeing their great, great-grandparent’s homestead in Blackie (near High River).
