The Back to School Supply drive is sponsored by Wok Box on Lougheed Highway and the Maple Ridge Staples.

“Our hope is to raise north of $10,000 by the end of September,” said Phillip Shearcroft, owner of Wok Box.

Every time someone donates $5 they will receive a voucher for a free kids meal from Wok Box, also worth $5.

Donations can be made at the Maple Ridge Staples or the Wok Box located in the Westgate shopping center on 203rd and Lougheed Hwy.

“The funds are delivered via Salvation Army and are used for local children who can not afford school supplies, which can get quite expensive,” added Shearcroft.
