Tables were laden with items in red, pink, blue, green, often home-dyed and definitely homespun for sale at the Whonnock Weavers and Spinners guild show and sale this Sunday.
Sales went well at the annual event, organizers said.
Ellen Hamilton was selling her handmade hats at the show. She has been creating hats for about 25 years, and chalks up her fascination with fancy headware to childhood memories wearing her Sunday best: hats, gloves, and purses.
"I've always worn hats since I was child," she said.
The Whonnock Weavers and Spinners hold their next meeting on Jan. 10, 2012 at Whonnock Lake Centre at 7: 30 p.m. New members - anyone interesed in fibre arts - are invited to join the guild.
