Peasants pay for Olympics

Dear Editor,

Those at the bottom of the totem pole have to pay to see the Olympics. That is just one more sleazy way for us peasants to pay ever more taxes.

Of course this rubbish does have to be paid for, while the elite get a free ride.

This is is not new, it has been going on for years. The upper crust (speak "freeloader" here) get in for free. It can well be assumed that they will usually tend to have larger incomes, often much larger incomes than the peasants.

If it isn't enough that they get in for free, then the scandalous story broke of their not even picking up their tickets - that is really offensive.

Rubbing salt in the wound, as it were. Everyone should pay whatever the price. Everyone, period. The same cost for all. Regardless of who they are, there should absolutely be no exceptions.

In a democracy, everyone is supposedly equal. However, that is just a silly and a mindless myth.

Anyone believing this nonsense will tend to believe just about anything. Offensive and sickening, eh?
