Ridge Meadows Hospice Society has a new executive director, Mark Vosper. Vosper is the former branch manager of the Maple Ridge BC SPCA. “It’s a similar job. I’m still helping a very worthy cause in the community, one which unfortunately everyone will need to use sooner or later.” Vosper called his new position “a mixed blessing” because he loved working at the SPCA and said he will continue to support it. He left the SPCA on good terms with a nice parting gift, he said, and no, it was not a puppy or kitten. Vosper’s new colleagues at the hospice society are Dawn Burnett (left), Kristina Murray, and Lindsey Willis.

Pitt Meadows assistant fire chiefs Rob Chatton and Brad Perrie flanked the City’s CEO Jake Rudolph who all donned jerseys a couple weeks ago to raise money for KidSport.
Kiwanis Club of Golden Ears distributed gaming grants to several organizations last week, during their meeting at the Rainbow Club. In attendance were Cherilynn Toll of WomanCare Pregnancy Centre, Rick Lascelle from Fraser Health, District Parent Advisory Council chair Kellie Marquet, school board chair Mike Murray, Annika Polegato of the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation, and Friends In Need Food Bank acting executive director Mary Robson, along with Kiwanis president Andre Lafleur.
School board chair Mike Murray got in the spirit of Jersey Day earlier this month by donating some cash to KidSport.
