Kale. It’s one of those leafy greens “they” say to eat, but why? And how the heck do you prepare it?
Author Sharon Hanna will be addressing these questions and more in an appearance at Black Bond Books in Haney Place Mall, on Sunday, July 15 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Hanna’s book, The Book of Kale: The Easy-to-Grow Superfood is filled with knowledge about the nutritious and delicious aspects of kale. Not to mention the fact that it is easy to grow almost anywhere.
Described as a garden-to-kitchen guide, the book which launched in May includes tips on various growing methods, including balcony growing, along with more than 80 recipes from smoothies to scones.
As a master gardener, Hanna knows her kale and presents the book in a cheeky, lighthearted fashion to make the introduction to kale that much more enjoyable.
