A singing telegram from the Bergthorson Academy of Music's two choirs not only has the potential to put one's significant other into a romantic mood, it will also benefit the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

The Bergthorson Academy of Music's Glee Club and its adult choir, Aspire to Inspire, are joining forces and providing singing telegrams for $30 apiece.

There will be four songs for the telegrams to choose from: Nowhere with You, More Than Words, Can't Help Falling in Love, and Northern Downpour.

"We chose an array that would appeal to everyone," said Rayne Beveridge, who runs both choirs at the Bergthorson Academy of Music.

The telegrams can be ordered for Feb. 10, 11, or 12, from 1 to 7 p.m. for anywhere in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows.

Beveridge said he asked the youth from the Glee Club which charity they wanted to support, and they came up with the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

"We just thought it's kind of related to Valentine's Day," Beveridge said.
