On Thursday, Spencer Steele knelt by his 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W30 while enjoying a Teen Burger in the parking lot of the A&W restaurant at 228th Street and Lougheed Highway. Aug. 23 was Cruisin’ for a Cause day at A&Ws across Canada. One dollar from every Teen Burger sold that day supports the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, with the ultimate goal of ending MS. During the day, hot-rod and classic-car owners parked their “cruisers” at the local A&W in support of the event. Meanwhile, the A&W at 22805 Lougheed Hwy. is hostnig two more Cruisin’ the Dub car shows: this Thursday (Aug. 30) and next Thursday, Sept. 6.
