RECYCLING REWARDED
Maple Ridge Secondary and Pitt Meadows Elementary were both thirdplace winners in their categories in a province-wide recycling competition.
Maple Ridge Secondary collected 55,745 containers and Pitt Meadows Elementary collected 30,999 containers and received $1,588 in refunds as well as the $500 in prize money.

RIVERS CELEBRATED
The Alouette River and Kanaka Creek in Maple Ridge will be celebrated this Sunday on Rivers Day. KEEPS, Metro Vancouver Parks, and the Bell-Irving Hatchery have a river celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the regional park's riverfront area, located east of Lougheed Highway and Haney Bypass.
